OUR GOAL

Bicester Moves aim is to encourage people who are clearing out to find re-use options for things they no longer need rather than them going to landfill.

Our vision is to reach a point where anybody clearing out ….

  • …is aware of how to donate, exchange or sell their unwanted things
  • …knows options will be as quick, easy and convenient as going to ‘the tip’ or throwing them away
  • …is motivated to use local re-use/repair/upcycle services
  • …is supported if they need to be (e.g. advice)
  • …knows where they can buy good quality second hand household goods
WHO WE ARE

We are a waste reduction project being run by Bicester Green in 2015. It is receiving national Government grant funding from WRAP (the Waste Resources Action Programme). Our partners include Cherwell District Council, Oxford Brookes University, Grassroots Bicester, Oxford Community Action Groups. We are also supported by local housing developers, real estate agencies, charities etc.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!

If you are interested in helping us or would like to know more about the project, please send us an email to info@bicestergreen.org.uk

We look forward to making a difference with you!
